Time to repurpose all of my random mixed capacity HDDs in a bag somewhere, I guess.

Wherever you put it?
Every 6 months half of it gets removed, to use as fertiliser, and it is refilled with tap water and some feed.
It sounded cool a couple of years ago, but it was first installed in 2021 and I’m yet to hear of it really going anywhere.

41·2 years agoIt’s going to be a fun historical period to look back on when there are just huge gaps where IP/product control became so powerful that no record of certain things were allowed to exist.

1·3 years agoI’m on DietPi 9 and the latest version for Debian 12 is 1.17.1, sadly. Though I do see 1.19.1 is in testing as of today, according to Debian’s package tracker site. Probably not worth trying to install an unstable version of it.

3·3 years agoI’m very happy with my little PiHole on a Pi Zero 2 W running DietPi, easy set up and then you can just forget about it apart from periodic updates. No issue with it being via WiFi either, which makes placing it much easier.

26·3 years agoMy first thought on this was immediately “did you also reserve that static IP address on your router to make sure it remains assigned”. From what I’ve read that does seem to be the issue, so that’s a little validating.

This is definitely food for thought. Junk food, but technically food.
