Yeah, this is one of the best parts of the fediverse. It’s not just another plattform like Reddit. It’s a bunch of Plattforms of various services, even Lemmy is just hundreds of small Reddits that connect to each other. Meaning we are not beholden to one person like on Reddit to participate in the fediverse.

Yeah. it was just pure lazyness on my part. I had Plex setup and all and didn’t want to bother with something new.

This is the last straw. I already was very shakey with all the restrictions that were piling up, but this is just one thing too much. Cancelling my subscription and installing jellyfin.

Tbh, it mostly sounds condescending. Like “they are the normals, as opposed to us, we are the ones that see further than them” a lot of times.

Though I did have seen things that are clearly self-aware, mostly the “NORMIES OUT REEEE”-stuff. But there is definitely both.
