for most parts of old lemmy.world, it does. it’s the only way for me of using lemmy on my normal browser. before that i used the portable version of firefox.

in Germany it would count as theft and destroying of property of others even if it’s abandoned.

also the apps often have a lot of bugs or issues in general. i would love to use lemmy more, but Liftoff can’t even sort my profile comments by new. i click on it… nothing happens. and if i just quickly switch to another app (clicking a link that opens the browser etc), and come back… everything is reset and i have to search the post i was again etc.

because such things i don’t use lemmy as often i would like…another issue is that lemmy isn’t supported on older browsers and the devs just tell you to update or get another one… yeaahh nah thanks. not gonna switch or destroy my browser (newer browser versions are often shitty… just look at chrome who nags you all the time) just because of lemmy. so… i wait for this issues to be fixed to then be able to use it more. before this happens, the user experience is just too frustrating.

would be still lemmy.world since I don’t really post in communitys outside lemmy.world much. 80-90%of the stuff i comment is in communitys on lemmy.world since i usually sort by local. i use accounts like a filter… nsfw stuff only on lemmynsfw, lemmy.ml is my backup if lemmy.world bugs again and lemmy.world my main account and place for all other things.

i’m 95% only using this instance here (lemmy.world), so i would say its mainly the lemmy.world instance. i only have 2 other accounts on lemmy.ml and lemmynsfw, but i don’t really use them to comment or post much.

well, what makes it hard to debug this is that it only happens from time to time random. most of the time it works. so to debug it i would have to each time check the debug console before sending a comment to catch it maybe sometime.

i didn’t really wanted to start with MITM’s just to debug this lol. hoped that other users maybe have the same issues and its maybe a current bug or glitch on lemmy.

it’s not an app i using, i just did send a few minutes ago with firefox a longer comment and boom, gone.

webconsole shows nothing like errors or similiar that would hint at something going wrong. thats the weird part about this.

probably will die every minute now. it’s a mystery to me that it is still alive. either reddit has forgotten about it or dunno. some people speculate that the dev is maybe talking with reddit about a deal and that’s why it’s still alive. but who knows.

Joey for Reddit still works, if it stops completly I’m gone too from reddit and only use lemmy on mobile. not gonna using reddits shitty garbage app.

perspective: if i can still reach everyone on the fediverse with threads… why should i switch to lemmy and co? there is no incentive for it. so 99% will not do it if they don’t have to or get a incentive from it.we don’t get something from it, but facebook does (userdata and money).

so its a one sided deal where only facebook wins and we lose in the end.
