Nah, foget about Lemmy. The name isn’t edgy enough. Just think about Discord, Squabble, Insultr, TauntTornado, FuryFurnace or FistFight.
Who reads this anyway? Nobody, that’s who. I could write just about anything here, and it wouldn’t make a difference. As a matter of fact, I’m kinda curious to find or how much text can you dump in here. If you’re like really verbose, you could go on and on about any pointless .….[no more than this]

Totally remember the lack of apps. Initially, I just had to use Lemmy through a mobile browser. Lots of devs were working hard to publish their apps, and after a few months we had lots of options. That was just amazing how quickly it happened.
BTW shout out to Bean, my favorite Lemmy client. It’s not perfect, so in some cases I still use Voyager to fill in the gaps, so bonus points for Voyager too.
I don’t think I had any initial beliefs that I could have reinforced by paying attention to certain kinds of posts and people. It feels like I tend to notice the stuff I’m not into. That’s the bias I’m interested in.
However, after making that first observation, confirmation bias can certainly take it from there and inflate the number of LGBT+ people in my head.

Twitter was designed to be addictive, whereas Mastodon was specifically designed to not be addictive. That’s why scrolling Mastodon feels so boring after a while.
Strange, I feel like more than half of the people on Mastodon are openly LGBT+.
Is there a name for this psychological bias that makes me see all the LGBT stuff whereas OP sees all the Linux stuff?
An infinite spiral could easily solve these problems.
I knew printing your own signs would lead to interesting exploits, but this is just next level.
Did you notice that the Average Lemmy Comments by Day looks really weird? Some of the sudden jumps could be attributed to real life events, but I’m more inclined to think there’s something buggy going on with the way three numbers are logged. Besides, there’s also a sudden dip!
You’re a genius! This new invention is going revolutionize the whole industry.
Oh, and then you could add a system for buying new clothes for the main character if you don’t like the default ones.
And while you’re at it, you could add some pictures. Maybe something like a grid of 6-8 pictures on each page. The dialogue could be in a bubble close to the speaker’s head.
Take a look at Oulu. If you don’t live in the city center, you can ride your bike to get there. The lames for light traffic are numerous and we’ll maintained. The busses are fine, as long as you are mindful if the schedules.
IMO, Lemmy doesn’t need to be super popular. Large numbers don’t automatically mean great quality, while great quality can result in greater numbers.
I think Bean has a bright future ahead of it. It’s clearly the bast app for me, but it’s not quite perfect yet. I’m happy with all the features except two:
Recently I installed all the Lemmy apps I could find, and started using them. Every time I came across a problem, I made a note of it and used that as a benchmark to rate all the other apps. All apps had issues, some annoying, some severe, some catastrophic. In the end, I sorted my app list by score and uninstalled all those that I could live without. I was left with only two apps: Bean and Thunder. Voyager and Liftoff are also pretty, good, but not quite as good as the two I use now.
Ok, so I think I know how this works now. You have to have a exclamation mark before the brackets. Otherwise, it will display the text instead of the image.
You could also wait for an eclipse.
It’s a lot like email really. If the 14 MB of storage hotmail once offered wasn’t enough for you, switching to the 1 GB of Gmail may have seemed appealing. If Google seems a bit too creepy for you, consider switching to proton or something.
If the admins of your current instance don’t like your cat memes, feel free to move to another one where cats and dogs are equally appreciated.
