75·3 months agoI always view the source of websites like this and this is one of the worst I’ve seen. 217 lines of code (including inline Javascript?!) and a Google tag for some reason, all to put the word YES in green on black.

username.lemmy.world
Plus this wouldn’t get confused with an email address.

I’m sure I’ve read this headline before and nothing came of it then.
Don’t worry, your successor isn’t offering anything big. You’ll still be around for many more days to come.
These days I try to avoid the news.

The reason design has become homogenised is because we want things to be intuitive so that users don’t have to learn. They just know. And a more useable app beats a less useable one. Always.
