As far as i know, that is for the ad algorithm, not for youtube
I dont understand why you cant choose what things you want to be recommended to you

Hidden in the google account settings, you can find what googles algorithm thinks you like and remove inaccurate things
As far as i know, you cant add things
This is the only algorithm i know that you can kinda customize
Quiblr for lemmy does this i think
Being able to choose what it will show you would be cool and not require stealing your data to customize your feed
Google is the closest thing to that that i know, but their implementation is terrible
Alive internet theory
The bots are secretly humans
Its probably the average number per day in a month(the total number divided by 30)
In my country, people above a certain age think sending an email is impressive
I have seen people not think someone with a gmail email could email to someone with a yahoo email
I have also seen teachers who teach ICT be confused when seeing a email that isnt one of the popular ones
Until you accidentally end up on an instance that defederated from lemmy.world and are confused why there are no cute cat pictures
Is there a way to easily find an instance based on what you want to use lemmy for, not just what the instance is about?
Discord and email worked for a long time with needing something extra after the name. Why would the fediverse be different?
There is also only 1 taylorswift@lemmy.world
Why would there being extra numbers or a different instace change anything?
Compared being tethered to multiple instances(one for each account), being tethered to one centralized instance is less of a form of centralization?
A while ago, programming.dev had a problem where nothing from the instance federated for a week. Lemmy felt so empty
I think we should let meta federated to the fediverse until they try to influence it or integrate ads in posts or something else that can hurt the fediverse
So by destroying twitter and moving people to mastodon, elon musk is ruining the fediverse
Now his plan makes sense

If i had a nickel for every time i switched from a popular app or service to a more privacy respecting alternative and then quickly after announcing that it will end, i would have 2 nickels, which is not a lot, but its weird it happened twice
I just switched from google to searx 2 days ago
Do people know how email works?
