I kinda thought the ever-expanding acronym problem was being informally solved by a gradual transition to just saying “Queer.”
I am not a member of any of the groups that would fall under that categorization though, so I may be wrong.

Sent my mom a very small package about 300 miles away via USPS priority. It took 16 days to get there. It took 11 days to get more than 50 miles from us. And that’s not my first such story, and I bet everyone reading this in the US has one or more just like it.
Any other business would be allowed to fail. USPS should be allowed to fail. Yes, they handle a lot of packages. Yes, other shipping companies make mistakes too. None of those others have given me even a single story like that, as shipper nor receiver.
And there is no one you can call, no one who will do anything at all to help. You just have to wait until they decide today is the day they are going to pick that box up off the floor and do something with it.
I think the issue is that there’s a slow trickle of people who have just gotten in and go “Wow I just got in, has anyone got any tips?”
Find one or more feeds you like and pin them. I use the newly created For You feed (which algorithmically puts stuff there it thinks you will like) and a couple of topical feeds that are specific to my interests. I think it’s great. Way more content that I care about than there ever was on twitter, and way way more engagement between folks.
I’m a big proponent of Mastodon/Firefish in general, but while they win in volume, Bluesky is already pulling ahead for me in signal to noise ratio. (I think that’s very subjective to what things interest you, so YMMV.)
Yep. I’m sure they’ve made some duds, but they are my go to brand. Have been impressed in one way or another with everything I’ve had from them.
My number two is Lenovo.
For smaller things I’m a fan of Anker, and I admit for cables I usually just find something cheapish on Amazon that gets good reviews.
Just thought maybe you actually had replied to the wrong comment because yours was so ridiculously over the top, rude, and toxic.
I now see that’s just how you communicate.
Grow the fuck up and let discussions happen. Maybe you’re miserable, but keep it to yourself.
Moving along now…
Are you sure you replied to the right comment? I’d rather see comments like theirs than responses like yours. I can’t find anything in their words that merits your toxicity. If one of you sounds miserable, it’s not Izzent. Blaze.

I don’t even use lemmy and that was interesting to read.
