I am happy to have helped more that one person then, with my massive effort!
After extensive personal efforts of pasting the copied project name into the google search bar (because i wasn’t going to type each and every letter of that name) i can proudly help you out of your missery!
Here you go. https://www.funkwhale.audio/
They are not threatening the fediverst though are they? Just refusing to promote certain instances for newcomers. When I signed up, i wasn’t really sure what I was signing up to but i did assume that not all instances were listed on that page that talked about them
In the end, on paper, it results to more active users because they will use their main account that they created innitially and simply have a new account to access the blocked content on other insurances
That is an awesome link - thank you so much!
I just bought some shared web server space that allows me to upload files through ftp and create databases. Also i can choose PHP version. I believe that’s about it. No ssh option
I will look into that thanks
I was also wondering if i could host something others could enjoy. I looked at lemmy instance, and invidious but it seemed like they need more access than i can give them
If the instance owner doesn’t block it would we be able to block all threads (and twitter) on our profiles?
But are there public rss feeds with content from blogs or creators that i don’t yet know.
I know that i can add a feed to an RSS reader but what I would love, was a public autofed list of content, preferably filtered and sorted in categories and tags
I don’t know what that means but I imagined an RSS feed with posts from sites that I don’t yet know but where the posts get grouped or served in groups or categories that interest me. It doesn’t even need to limit to sites or blogs. Could as well just be self hosted images or videos served on an RSS feed, and sorted into some kind of category/group/topic
Every poster can have their own content on their own server or even a webhotel running even WordPress but it gets listed and served on a unified platform like lemmy
I believe they started (internal) testings last month? This is not ready yet but seems to be actively being worked on. The develop er posts about it multiple times a day
