I viewed the 3 Falcons wins in the finals – games 2, 4 and 5.
Nobody can bash Skiter. He’s 1 of the best position 1 right now. He didn’t crumble under the crazy pressure. Especially game 5. Being a vanguard in the games before The international is 1 thing, but being the vanguard in The international finals game 5 is another beast. He knew he couldn’t let Xtreme gaming slay him. And he delivered.
Malrine was reliable.
I didn’t view many Falcons games before the finals. So viewing the finals, I just learned that Ammar’s style was a high-net-worth position 3. He could be a carry if Falcons needed him to be. Game 4, he was like “I’m the 2nd carry. Go near me and you’re dead.” Game 5, he wasn’t too aggro, wasn’t too safe. He used his spells at the right time to set up the kills.
Crit was reliable. Malrine Sand king and Crit Hoodwink were 👍. Xtreme gaming was helpless. Crit was in the mud for a big part of his career. Many (including me) didn’t oft mention him when the topic was best position 4. He chased the The international win for soooooo long. Finally he won. He’s 1 of the best position 4 right now.
Sney used his spells at the right time. His song saves in game 5 were key. His illusion army harassed Xtreme gaming.
Aui is 1 of the best coaches right now. 👍 resume. 1 The international win as a gamer. 2 as a coach.
I wonder if Ame, Xinq and Xnova will continue despite the pain of the losses. Crit didn’t give up.

2·4 months agoI didn’t view the elimination round but I checked Liquipedia from time to time. My fav to win it all was Spirit, Tundra or Liquid. Then Spirit and Liquid have been out. :o
I haven’t known which factor held Liquid back. :)
Chemistry issue? Do they need a position 3 who’s less like Saberlight and more like 33?
Did the uncertainty of Larl’s participation in this tournament very badly affected Spirit? So little time to practice before the tournament? Or chemistry issue? Many, including me, thought that Yatoro, Collapse and Miposhka were about to enter the ultimate tier. The 3-time The international champ tier. Nobody’s in that tier.
So :(. Liquid and Spirit may be thinking they’re strong but there’s a piece missing. On the highest stage all the pieces must be there, or you’ll lose.

1·1 year agoThere was a point in game 1 of the finals (Liquid versus Gaimin) when Liquid slew dyrachyo. Then Ace went near the Liquid heroes. It was 5 versus 4. Why did Ace go near Liquid? Did he throw?
Liquid dominated games 1–3. Micke was reliable. Nisha was all over the place doing damage versus the Gaimin heroes. 33 was a 👍 offlane. It was like Liquid had 2 mids, Nisha and 33. Boxi and Insania were 👍 supports. Boxi Tusk was 1 of the best Tusk I’ve seen.

1·10 months agoValve doesn’t organize majors anymore right? I’m not monitoring the Dota 2 news so Idk. I know Valve didn’t do a pro circuit point system for 2024. Then they said they were still focused on The international. Why did they give the keys to PGL? It’s already so :( that they don’t do True sight anymore. Dota 2 probably isn’t high on the list of their profit sources but I hope they’ll still care enough.

I wouldn’t make this post if he was an unbearable jerk. I wouldn’t care re him.
But I heard he was toxic in pubs. Per Sunsfan and Synderen he was like Slacks. Toxic in pubs but seemed 😇 in person. I guess being on edge for a long time can bring out the worst in some. You should be focused when you play Dota 2. Like driving. Some get furious so fast while driving but are 😇 at hangouts.
Agree with you that he’s been passionate re Dota 2.
