Debian?
Debian?
Ah, yes. I forgot we’ve moved away from the late 2000’s. All good points
I’m not going to test this because while it could be innocuous, well, it could be harmful as well. If this is hosted in a local network, take your phone or laptop to a place with free WiFi and test. Also make sure the subdomain resolves to an IP address. You can go to cmd in Windows, or open up a terminal and type “ping craigsworld.dedyn.io”. If it’s not a reserved IP and you can access it outside your local network you’re good.
I used cloudfares captcha equivalent and my bots dropped to zero
I integrated cloudfares captcha thingus to foregejo and my spam dropped to 0
I don’t use either service. Do they serve the same purpose?
Too lazy to read wiki link, but I too postfix/dovecot
Oh, I run the KeePass program on windows. I guess that’s why I’m confused.
But yes, I use keepassXC on Linux and keepassium on iOS
Wait so I use keepass too. Why is it not technically as password manager
Isn’t synology basically a Linux system with lots of slots for storage? Can’t you just… buy a pi?
Why should I post someone else for DNS records if namecheap is handling it just fine for my use case?
Nope. I’m not sure if I should be happy that I’m not the only one.
I prefer to be called daddy. Godaddy
I like running my email server, because I justify it with my use cases.
If you like to spend time conversing with support about why your IP is on a blacklist, or why your email is being sent to spam (or outright rejected - I’m looking at you Microsoft), and then trying to increase your domain and IP reputations, be my guest.
Otherwise, a service is generally best
I mean, I use namecheap. I’m thinking about throwing one of my domains onto cloudfare just in case.
If you don’t like namecheap, some people have been suggesting porkbun or something.
It’s important if you’re building a brand, or if you’re dumb like me and run your own email server
I’ve lost my domain too. It took me two years to get it back. Hopefully it won’t be squatted for long
Time to register that domain before OP gets it…
Have you tried a key hook and a safe?
Sorry. Couldn’t help myself
I’m not sure what the benefits of unraid are but for better or worse, I’ve been running Linux servers since 2007 or so, so……
I also used arch now and full time for a few years in the 2010s. I like it, but they put in breaking changes occasionally that I don’t want to have to deal with for a server.
I was on CentOS and switched to Debian because of IBM/RH
