I didn’t even know there was a standalone server, the app doesn’t even seem to support it anymore, just Nextcloud.

Notesnook, whenever they release self hosting.

Nextcloud and Quillpad is decent.

They are federated, but it’s not reliable. Lot of room for improvement. I have comments where the deletion never federated so they’re basically on other servers forever.

I tried this out a few years ago but went with Monarch, looks like this has come a long way though! Might switch back now that Monarch keeps raising their pricing.

There’s an FOSS android gallery app for Nextcloud that’s super nice too
