Instagram is mostly influencer driven. The lack of which will get idolaters bored of pixelfed and move back to the zucks.

Yes a fediverse version of Instagram. It relies on the activity pub protocol under the hood. Which makes it possible for example to follow like and comment to a pixelfed account from a mastodon account if you have one.
The fediverse has had a very low retention rate. My bet is that after a year MAU will come down to 60k. That is if meta doesn’t embroil itself in another controversy.

18·2 years agoIt is either an extortion from your domain registrar or sometimes opportunistic domain squatters taking over your domain for a year or two. Check for how long it was registered a put a reminder to get it back

6·2 years agoSurprised a boring platform like LinkedIn has that many users.
It is to be expected. most people who migrated early on did it as an act of boycott, and not because they needed an alternative to reddit. so when the boycott failed, the natural thing for them was to go back to the plateform with the bigger userbase.
