I see. It will need to manage two accounts but it is doable.

I see. It will need to manage two accounts but it is doable.
But in this case, I don’t think it is only about making UI. Or it would be making UI for a twittovers software rather than threadiverse software.
Don’t you think?
Beginner mistake. Always make sure to follow a remote community before using it in test 🤦 Thanks!
Maybe, it could do even more with Piefed that allow topic-oriented threads rather than the sub-local-all triple of Lemmy.
It may be interesting to see what lemmy could look on a radically different UI. Everything I has saw is just changing forms of element, size of text and background colors.
Such a project could be interesting if it allow to see threads we don’t have in typical UI. For example, I would love to be able to add local thread from distance instances. I have a jlai.lu account and a slrpnk.net account. It would be nice to see both instances thread on a same UI and it is “only” a matter of pulling existing content from a list of instances.
I mean, I always thought of OP as someone in the Lemmy’s loop. I guess it doesn’t know everything…
What Mastodon and any fediware need is a form to choose your instance :
You’re welcome
Nice. I will try it. Do I have to keep Quiblr cookies for the option to work?
Well Lemmy is a possible replacement for Reddit but, putting aside my strong biais for Lemmy, it doesn’t have to be a Reddit replacement for everyone and it is still building itself up. Here is a few tips to improve your time in hope you’ll find on the fediverse the space you look for :
Cheers!
Hi OP ! I’m writing a bit late to tell you could do your federation test using this !testfediverse@jlai.lu community. Enjoy :)
Lemmy of course. I love the forum format and it’s a great place to fediverse content from another plateforme. I post here with alt on Bookwyrm, Forkkey and PixelFed. I can’t wait to share a Loop on my favorite community. But to read content from all over the fediverse, it is best to have an account on the twittoverse. I use Sharkey. I can access so much content that’s not on Lemmy. It is much less of an echo chamber plus there is lots of people and I can still post to Lemmy.
Perfect! I was looking for a PieFed instance for my next alt.
We could mess back. We cannot influence much their userbase but we could make sure to stick to our vocabulary and rename Meta’s thing. For example, Thread should be rename MMT (Meta’s Microblogging Tool) and Loops, their “communities” Bubbles.
Are they choosing the names on purpose to mess with the fediverse vocabulary? Thread, when they are part of the twittoverse but not the threadiverse and now Loop like the TikTok-like federated social media from PixelFed…
Even lemmy, which is small in comparison has enough people that I barely even think about specific users. Let alone speak with them on a personal level.
I have a different experience but I’m on a very smaller instance than .world. Your instance is big, generalist but their is lots of them that are location- or topic-oriented. Such instances are not only smaller with a more personnalised local thread but the people on it share already identified common points with you.
Then you’re the rector of fedicademia !
I thought it was only possible through a plugin that must be install on WordPress site. I have no actual knowledge though…
God I’ve written a virelangue. That was not my goal.
Thank you for saying that.
