PS: I just tried it without Photon and got another error.

Anyway, all good and not something I can influence so I let it go :-)

Ok, sounds plausible. Thanks for the explanation!
Browser. I’m on feddit.nl and use Photon as UI on it (ph.feddit.nl).
Can’t even see these posts, I clicked and got:
400 {“error”:“couldnt_find_post”}
Just give me the tools, as a user, to block instances. Not just the way it is done recently but truly block an instance and all it’s posts and users. I want to be able to black hole an entire instance and all things related to it.
If this is true then I indeed misunderstood v0.19
All I want is to be able to block an instance completely as a user. How hard can this be? I really had my hopes up for v0.19. This needs to be built into Lemmy asap because the idiocy of some instances is getting on my nerves hardcore. I mean, why not go back to reddit if I have to take shit anyway? At least I know the communities are larger over there and if I need to suffer bullshit then by all means, I’ll suffer over there. This is not good for Lemmy tbh…
Redw0rm posted that this is about to come to Lemmy!
Oh wow…. This is so nice to see. Thanks for the heads-up!
Instance blocking/defederate on a user level
What do you mean?
For example, I think the atrocities committed by russia against Ukraine is pretty well covered so they do not deny russian fascist behaviour at all. Heck, they report on china being buddy-buddy with russia and thus china supporting the war on Ukraine is also covered nicely. I think the BBC is doing fine. Unless you live under the fascist rule of these countries, then you suddenly cannot see clearly anymore. Is that perhaps your problem, that you live in one these shitholes?
This is kinda on you, you chose to visit hexbear. Just block that instance. And while you are at it, also block lemygrad.
Remains the question: why the self-flagellation?
