The instance is the server. Do you mean community?
Slrpnk.net might be a better fit. But good luck!
On which instance are you trying to create the community?

No way that’s true.
Guessing it’s going to start, we’ll get told how close it is and how fantastic it is and then we’ll just keep waiting?
This is something that a few instances here had to learn the hard way and are very open and honest about it.
Running a main branch in production is beyond insanity.
Is there a way to see version number? Everything else seems way slower than the flagship instance and even that seems slower than every Lemmy instance
Is there even a second instance running piefed? I’ve only seen piefed.social
Haha, no worries. It’s an easy mistake to make.
I don’t know them to judge them. I can only judge the interaction and there’s not even context for that. They could be a perfectly nice adult.
Kit comes across like a dickhead from that screenshot.

Does that Late Show Last Week Tonight with John Oliver have a presence in the Fediverse?
All this said, there have also been some suggestions to make onboarding easier by directing new users to a hardcoded default instance. This may sound like a good idea at first but won’t work well in practice. Running such an instance would take significant time for administration and moderation, but we maintainers are already too busy. Besides it would be impossible to reach an agreement who this default instance should federate with or how exactly it should be moderated. So if you want to get nontechnical users to Lemmy, the solution is to link them directly to a specific instance based on their interests.
Wholeheartedly agree with this. Also people should get use to taking responsibility for their online experiences. Corporations have made people stupid to the point they reject autonomy.
That was the one. Oh well, I’m outta ideas then. The Fediverse in general is a very trans safe community.
