I’m a sucker for a cheeky vanilla latte every now and then. Some times I just feel like sweet warm milk with a dash of coffee. But I’ll snob hard with, “How can they call this a coffee?” if all the other flavours overpower the coffee to being a near pointless ingredient. It’s lierally not a coffee at that point.

I’m glad it’s a “coffee drink” because this is anything but a coffee.

It gets to a point where someone’s coffee choice implies that they don’t actually like coffee and will try anything possible to mask the flavour.

Edit: Okay, before anyone else goes on a tangent about their choices in beverages that contain coffee in them, please take a moment. Relax. Read what was said again and ask yourself, “Is what I’m about to say relevant to the highlighted differentiation of “coffee drink” and “coffee”? Do I actually want to waste my time sharing my personal opinions on beverages with coffee in them? Is the thatsinsane community where I’ll get the most out of such discourse?”

Now there’s a big uptick in petty “discussions”, know-it-alls, and those losers that break your comment up gaslit straw man style, to just put words in your mouth to try make you look like an asshole.

First of all, it’s not your internet. Not everyone is as “intelligent” as you think you are and sarcasm is actually hard to detect in text.

Second of all, not everyone appreciates dark humour because it can be very.offensive, just like using derogatory terms like “Well Actually Guy”. If you want people on Lemmy, you need to make it a safe space for all.
