Disable the display of the voting system. That’s what I do, and it’s the reason I can use Lemmy. It won’t solve the political doom and gloom part, but it really helped me with the anxiety that comes from the rejection of others to my ideas, or the dopamine boost when a collective accepts and praises my comments.
