no hate but i don’t believe you. i came to the comments to say exactly what @FundMECFS@slrpnk.net said. returns 70% ai on quillbot.com along with my own personal experience that no human uses “resonating” “add depth” “playful nod” “spark discussions” as much as I have seen ChatGPT use those phrases. other patterns include stringing together nouns in ways that sound smart but don’t add value, eg “surveillance and governance” “social justice… and global inequality”

…it’s okay to use ai? but no need to lie about it. goodness knows the internet is already too full of people lying about ai produced content, don’t join them lol

Appreciate the effort in responding, but I count 20 instances that defederate yours, covering several thousand users. That kind of hobbles the functionality of this as a concept. :/

Yeah, I suppose my idea of a decentralized accountability sublemmy would just help make that process a little more efficient.

Obviously it’s still rough and a mess but I think it’s a fair enough decentralized fit-in for Reddit’s centralized moderation authority.

This would be a perfect solution I think, if most major mods and subs weren’t hosted on .world and .ml.

The conflict of interest is real and intense; I have been told directly that certain problematic .world mod activity cannot be addressed because the mods in question are close friends with instance admins.

Yeah, given this I won’t recommend that kbin users downvote just anything since the platform doesn’t protect their privacy. Lemmy users should be good tho. Thanks! 😊

Kbin users seeing who downvotes their posts is potentially an issue, but I don’t want to discourage downvoting bad or harmful content for just that reason. The end goal is that bad content gets removed and offending users acted on. So if a Kbin user is abusing the system to harrass or abuse, they should likewise reported and banned.
