Which lemmy instances are suitable to me, the most popular, and which ones to avoid? For context, im queer, anarchist with DemSoc leaning, and environmentalist. Tankies are people who supported the use of tanks to attack the civilian protests against the USSR in Hungary and later Czechoslovakia. That became the default term for anyone who supports brutal authoritarian states that suppress the people to assert their control. In modern day context a tankie would be someone who blames Ukraine for being invaded and denies the genocide of the Uyghurs.
Some rightwing/centrists like to use it to insult any leftist. You can just ignore those ones.
