So my username on reddit was u/IAmUser1234567 I had 17k+ Karma, i didn’t do anything they just banned my account. Now i guess they have created a digital fingerprint or marked my ip address, because if i create a new account it gets banned almost instantly.

I am loving lemmy(using Voyager on my android phone) so much. Reddit anyways now just contains shity cringe content, it is becoming like insta, I am happy to join lemmy family :)

    Lemmy is small enough that we all know each other.

    I don’t know about this part, but it’s a great place, and you do occasionally bump into people you’ve met several times. It’s fun that way. 😊

        To be honest, several people do that.

        Nowadays I tend to let those people know it’s futile, if their aim is to counteract AI scraping.

            I think you’re assuming that a) I’m annoyed and b) I’m complaining to them about it. Neither are true.

            It does make it harder to read, but I’m not annoyed. And I simply tell them it doesn’t work, in a calm way, as an FYI. 🫡👍 It’s a service I provide. If they do it for fun, I won’t stand in their way.

                I mean, if you do it just for fun and expect people to work with you on it, I understand the down voters. It’s noise for a very selfish reason if you do it for fun.

                If you do it for counter-AI purposes, it’s less selfish, just uninformed. 😊

                I down vote them because it’s useless and makes the reading harder, especially for dyslexic people
                But usually i also explain it to them and recently i started to share this meme every time i see this dude using the thorn

          You can’t poison AI at all these days. Even if you add turpentine to pasta sauce, you will not succeed.
