Hey - I accidentally replied to a top-level post when I meant to reply to a comment within a post within a Lemmy Community (c/homebox). I copied my comment over as a new reply and then deleted the original.
At first, it looked like that was all I needed to do, but then the top-level reply showed back up on lemmy.world. I have already “Deleted Comment Globally” within Friendica, so I’m not sure how to remove the double-post.
Am I missing something, or is this a bug of some sort?
This sounds like a breakage in the way that Friendica and Lemmy interact. I’d report it as a bug on both sides, see if you can get folks to work towards figuring out a way to resolve it.
The different Fediverse software implement things in their interpretation and sometimes there’s a divide that can be resolved. :)
