We shipped a pretty cool feature to FediDB that allows anyone to edit and answer questions about software projects, like a wiki, and use that data to power a new software comparison feature.

Maybe it’s because I’m on mobile right now, but it looks like a lot of the descriptions are cut off without any way to expand it. Assuming that texts ending in ”…” is supposed to continue.

This list of features is microblogging-centered. Some things like boosts and mastodon make no sense for the threadiverse. And some things which should be there to compare, aren’t.

A feature that Piefed has that I wish Lemmy would implement too is URL filters; perhaps it could be added to the chart after ‘word filters’?

Arctic has a great frontend implementation of it with Regex support, but the app hasn’t been updated in a while.

Also, for simplicity perhaps the tables should have the more advanced information implemented with a visibility toggle? All of the information listed may overwhelm new users and leave an impression that the Fediverse is particularly complex.

Yea the features are already grouped, I think they could be collapsed by default and just show the number of features supported for each of the groups, and then you can expand

I don’t get it, this just looks like you’re trying to shoehorn discussion board type software into a comparison tool for microblogging
