Lemmy is a left wing echo-chamber? I thought it was a Linux wing echo chamber?

Especially when you see the same couple of people with profile pics post everywhere.

I dont use twitter so I never understood the CSAM stuff. Did you follow accounts that post it or between it? Or does twitter have like a tiktok style for you page now and you get it recommended to you?

Yeah this was always going to happen after a big rush. On any website a certain % of users that sign up won’t like it and will move on. If you have a steady influx of users, you wouldn’t notice it, but because of lemmys explosive growth due to reddit shitting its pants, then just like we saw a tonne of people leave at once, were now seeing a tonne of people leave at once, and now that that explosive user growth is normalising, for a short time we will see an overall decline in users until the amount of leavers normalises as well.

If were still losing people in a month, then we should be worried.

I think the users on here tend to be active on the site in general rather than just a few specific subreddits. And also the small amount of users all interacting on the same communities gives the entire site the feeling that smaller subreddits used to have. Which was always infinitely better than big subreddits will millions of users, infested with bots.
